I have now added even more features to the forums (with the help of Sir Soybean, of course)
• Feature 1: Private message reply upgrade
A certain member of the forums has brought some complaints to my attention. She had asked me why the "machine language" was in her reply box. What she was referring to was the code for the quoting of my message (which is now hidden for all new replies to private messages). I have also made the title of replies to private messages un-editable.
Sir Soybean then noticed, in the tests of this new feature, that the name of the person who the quote was of is mis-aligned. We added some small code changes to fix this problem.
• Feature 2: More smilies!
There are now even more smilies in the smilies bar. Use them just like the older smilies. Nothing much to talk about there.
• Feature 3: Post count & non-staff ranks
There are now 10 additional ranks that you can acheive without becoming a member of staff. They go from Newbie (0 posts) to Crystal Member (2,500 posts). The ranks are closer together at lower post counts, so don't worry.
• Feature 4: Avatars and Signatures
Avatars and signatures are now available to all users of the forums. The max length of a signature is 500 characters/5 lines, and the max size of an avatar is 150 by 150. You can change them in your profile. If you abuse these features, you will be banned.
